My latest {graphic design} project...

I finished these announcements the other day for my cousin Scott and his wife Korin. They are actually baby blue-gray, not teal. I did them really quick, but I think they turned out pretty great!
Congrats you guys, happy marraige!!!

My latest project...

So we found these little tables at the D.I. for $10 each. They were a nasty yellow tanish color but I could see potential in them, so we snatched them up. They have been sitting in my dad's basement forever because we didn't have time to work on them, but over conference weekend we got them going, and they are finally done! We are using them as our coffee table for now, but I'm not sure where they will end up for sure.
Also, for enrichment the other night we decorated the cutest pumkins, with things like yard and ribbon and felt. Cute huh?!

{Next project: New pillows for that sofa!!}

A couple random friend things...

Last night I went to dinner with some of the girls that were in Interior Design with me. We haven't seen each other since we graduated {other than a couple random run-ins}, so it was a blast to get together again! After we ate we went up to the studio to reminisce and check in on the poor sophomores/juniors/seniors, some of whom do not yet know what they have gotten themselves into. As expected, they were hard at work, watching movies and working on their tiny house projects! It was fun to be back there, but a little sad that those 4 years have come and gone. Luckily, the 5 of us happen to be the lame-o's who still live in Logan and have the same jobs as we did when we were in school, so we will have the chance to get together regularly. :) GO US!
Chels, Megan, me, Caitlin, and Lisa!

For Logan's 25th birthday, I was somewhat able to pull off a surprise party for Logan. His parents agreed to come up to Logan and take him to dinner as a distraction, while everyone arrived at our apartment. It wasn't a complete surprise {I now have a deep respect for people who can somehow keep everything a complete secret from someone they live with}, but he was a little surprised. If you can't tell, it was themed for Logan's year of birth {1984}. We just crammed ourselves in our little apartment and ate food, played rock band {thanks to my dad and Diana for lending it to us}, and hung out! It was soo much fun!
Logan's invitation, doesn't it look just like him on his scooter? :)
Brad and Krissy

Chris and Nicole

Jenny and Andy

That gem in the black and yellow is Derek. You never know what the night will be like with Derek around! Also, Kenny, Sara and Nolan

Erica, Nolan, Jenny and Jamie rockin it out. Jamie was not very happy with that song.

Heather, Andy, Derek, and Chris
It made Logan's birthday so much fun that all our friends could show up! Thanks everyone for celebrating with us!

A few months ago our friends Erica and Nolan got married. While the boys were bachelor partying, the girls went to dinner and bachelorette partied ourselves! Erica is on the right in the white. We are so happy they are finally married! :) The last of our friends to join the club.

{WE LOVE OUR FRIENDS!}

Park City Weekend

Last weekend, after a crazy busy week at work, and an even crazier busier friday and work, I was able to my all the girls on my mom's side of the family up in park city for a girl's night out! We stayed in the cutest condo, ate junk food, and played!

Then on Saturday we rode the extreme zip line, watched some of the US opympic team practice ski jumps into a swimming pool, ate lunch and went to the outlets.

{to see more pictures about this, click here to see Val's blog}

Thanks mom for the great weekend! It was so nice to get away and play!

Sophie Michelle

So, my sister is starting a little business making hair bows that match the clothing lines at Naartjie. If you have ever been to Naartjie you know that it is the most darling store! She happens to work there, and was inspired to make bows for the outfits she bought for Sophie, her little one. Anyway, she just got her website up and going with her first line of bows, so go check it out!

Now!

You're amazing Val!

{Also, her business cards and website header were designed by yours truly, so remember that if you or someone you know needs logos, business cards, wedding invites, or any other sort of graphic design, let me know!}

Crazy Daisy's

I love flowers!
When I got home from work last Friday, these were waiting on the counter for me, with a sweet little card, wishing me good luck in my new job.
What a sweetie! I love my husband.

CALIFORNIA!

We got to take a short vacation with Heather and Jory over the 24th of July. We celebrated Utah, by leaving it. :) We had such a good time! We drove Thursday night, stayed in Primm (Buffalo Bills has a swimming pool shaped like a Buffalo, great huh!), and finished the drive Friday morning, straight to Newport Beach.

Yes, we love this car! We would take it in a heart beat.

My Happy Boy!
Logan and Jory throwing the football in the waves.
We love the beach.
WOOT!
This is the size of our beds in the smoking room of the hotel that shares the parking lot of Hooters. Sweet! Ha, Jory made it look so teeny.
We got to get up early on Saturday and watch some of the US Open Surfing Competition. It was pretty cool!

Then we did some shopping,
and spent the rest of the day in the sun!

Logan jumping of the sand, into the lovely ocean!
Catch that wave, babe.

We wish we were back in Cali every weekend! It was so great to have a little adventure before I started working full time and Logan went back to school.
Loved it!

Summertime Summertime Sum-Sum-Summertime Summerti-i-i-i-ime!

I love summer. Why can't it always be summer?
I apologize for the mass amount of photos below, but I thought I'd better make up for the lack of blogging on my part in the last......wow.........9 months.
Love you all,
Enjoy!

Did someone say Harry Potter?

YES!!!
For all you guys who prefer not to be Harry Potter nerds (which is most of both sides of our family), I'm sorry for you! :) We went to a HP party with a bunch of our friends a few days before the movie came out, and it was a blast!
All of us....from top left: Mad-Eye Moody, Professor Trelawny, Remus Lupin(Log), Nymphadora Tonks(Me), Fellow Hogwarts Student #1, Fellow Hogwarts Student #2, Cedric Diggory, Ginny Weasley, (bottom row:) Winky the House Elf, Dobby the House Elf, Professor Trelawny #2, and Professor Snape.
Logan playing 'Pin the lightning bolt on Harry Potter.' Moody was making sure he didn't cheat.

Aren't we the cutest wizard couple? Yes, that is my hair, not a wig.
Hogwarts! Our friends Derek and Jamie's apartment, who hosted the party.
Logan and I's home-made licorice wands.

This is how excited Logan was to be at a party honoring my favorite books. But he really did have a good time!
It took a few washes to get my hair back to normal. I was a little worried that it would be tinted pink for a few days.
Expelliarmus! Gotcha...

Thanksgiving Point

My mom took all of us and the little ones to Thanksgiving Point for my birthday. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but there were a few cute ones.
Random....don't we have cute feet? :)
Ella was the only one brave enough to ride the pony. Isn't she darling?

Thanks mom! We can't wait til we can all get together again.... Tyler and Sheena.... COME BACK!! :)
